Sample Daily Schedule

7:00 to 8:00	Quiet Free Play	Children are offered to do quiet activities.
8:00 to 8:30	Snack	Children are offered a morning snack.
8:30 to 9:00	Music and Movement	Children gain practice in large motor skills through movement activities to a variety of music.
9:00 to 9:30	Circle Time	Children sing songs, participate in a learning activity, group games, and practice counting and language skills.
9:30 to 10:00	Outdoor Activities*	Children focus on large muscle and social skills. The concept of “taking turns” is practiced.
10:00 to 10:30	Small GroupActivity*	Children participate in a teacher directed writing, language, and math or science project geared towards problem solving or deductive reasoning.
10:30 to 11:00	Art Work	Children engage in creative activities or projects.
11:00 to 11:15	Setting up for Lunch	Children are required to wash their hands before and after each meal. Lunch is set out on a table.
11:15 to 12:00	Lunch / Bathroom	Children practice good table manners, naming, and passing food. Children also learn what is considered appropriate and inappropriate table discussions. Children wash their face and hands after lunch.
12:00 to 12:30	Set Up Beds/ Bathroom	Children’s cots and blankets are set out. Children are assisted to use the bathroom as needed.
12:30 to 1:00	Story Time	Children choose stories from the bookshelf that they wish the teacher to read.
1:00 to 3:00	Nap	After at least 45 minutes of rest, children not needing rest are offered quiet activities during this time.
3:00 to 3:15	Bathroom	Children are assisted to use the bathroom.
3:15 to 3:45	Snack	Evening snack is offered at this time.
3:45 to 4:00	Free Play	Children focus on large muscle skills and social skills. Group games may be offered during this time.
4:00 to 5:30	Outdoor Activities	Children play group games outside and practice their large motor skills.
5:30 to 6:00	Quiet Activities/ Departure	Children choose to do child initiated activities. Educational videos may be shown at this time.
* 9:30 to 10:00 - 2 to 3 year olds participate in outdoor activities; 4 to 5 year olds participate in Small Group Activities. * 10:00 to 10:30 – 2 to 3 year olds participate in Small Group Activities; 4 to 5 year olds participate in Outdoor Activities.
